Kinoförderung (Cinema Funding) by FFA aims to strengthen and preserve the nationwide diverse cinema structure and its quality in Germany. There are three funding tracks: general Kinoförderung under FFG, Liebling Kino (a federal cinema programme award by the Federal Government's Commissioner for Culture and Media recognizing high-quality annual film programmes), and Special Kinoförderung 2025 for cinema operators who received the Federal Cinema Programme Award in the previous year or achieved particularly high audience shares with German and European films.
