Call for Film Projects: SIC 2027

What it is

SoundImageCulture is a one-year program in Brussels that accompanies filmmakers and artists in the development of their film project through group coaching sessions, personal mentoring, encounters with international guests, masterclasses, and seminars. The program prioritizes projects with existing visual materials, footage, sounds or photos that push the borders of audiovisual language.

What you get

One year of mentoring from renowned filmmakers, peer feedback, masterclasses, introductions to local production facilities, and a public presentation of your work. Participation fee is 1600 EUR.

What you need to apply

• Project proposal document answering: What is the subject of your project and why do you want to make it? What is the relation between you and your subject? What is the formal approach that you envision for the film? Is there a relation between your subject and the form you choose?
• Link to previous work and/or audiovisual materials related to the project (maximum 8 minutes duration, must have English subtitles). Not mandatory but strongly encouraged.
• Curriculum vitae
• Profile picture and three visuals accompanying the film proposal, 4 required
