21st Bucharest International Jazz Competition with three rounds: selection of semi-finalists by recorded submissions, semi-final performances on 2-8 July, and final gala on 9-10 July.

Who it is for

Jazz instrumentalists and vocalists of all nationalities up to 45 years old, or bands of up to 6 performing musicians with a leader who may be older.

What you get

Total prize pool of 10,000 Euro including Grand Prize of 1,500 Euro, category prizes of 500 Euro each, and concert engagements; free accommodation for finalists; performances in concert hall, unconventional spaces, and jam sessions.

What you need to apply

  • Application form - Annex A for band or Annex B for each member
  • Audio recordings for competition (mp3/mp4 format) - 2-3 pieces of different styles
  • Two different group photos in color, landscape format, minimum 1MB each, 2 required
  • Bank confirmation of registration fee payment
  • Short presentation of the group, up to 10 words
  • Copy of passport or identity card for each group member
  • Technical rider
