What it is

The South Asian Music Prize presented by SiriusXM Dhamaka celebrates emerging South Asian music creators in Canada who are shaping the country's diverse musical landscape. The Prize recognizes artistic excellence, elevates underrepresented voices, and supports meaningful career development through national recognition and industry access. One recipient will be selected by a jury of respected industry professionals.

Who it is for

South Asian music creators in Canada who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents and SOCAN members, including songwriters, producers, composers, and lyricists of all genres.
