What it is

A season-long programme supporting the progression of talented orchestral composers. Participants create a new work of up to eight minutes for a chamber orchestra of LPO players and Future First musicians, guided by the Composer-in-Residence. The programme includes composer seminars, workshop rehearsals in spring, further rehearsals leading to a final concert performance in summer 2027, and opportunities to attend concerts, observe rehearsals, meet guest composers, and engage with the wider music industry.
